Barb Scala is a vital member of the Board of Directors for the Take Up Space Foundation, bringing a strong background in financial planning and advisement to her role. With a passion for empowering women, Barb is dedicated to helping them break barriers, feel secure, and realize their full potential to live confidently and authentically. Barb has spent her professional career mentoring women in the financial planning field and sharing her expertise through talks on domestic violence, emotional resilience, and financial security. She holds insurance and federal securities licenses, as well as an FSCP designation. Before her career in finance, Barb served for 29 years as a Critical Care Registered Nurse, a role that honed her compassion and commitment to helping others. Outside of work, Barb enjoys walks with her dog, crafting, reading, and playing piano. She cherishes time spent with her daughter and family, engaging in outdoor activities with her brothers and their children. Barb is honored to advance the Take Up Space Foundation’s vision of empowering women to thrive and live their best lives unapologetically.
